Terms of Service

WiseSplitter provides an interface to help users track and split group expenses for trips, outings, and shared activities. You agree to use this application only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

You must not use the application to engage in fraud, misrepresent expenses to other group members, or facilitate any illegal financial activity.

To use certain features, you must authenticate using your email address or phone number via OTP (One-Time Password). You are entirely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your session credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
• Ensuring the accuracy of the profile information you provide.
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

While we strive to ensure that all financial splitting algorithms and calculations inside WiseSplitter are accurate, the application is provided "as-is".

We are not responsible or legally liable for any discrepancies, rounding differences, or financial disagreements that arise between users as a result of using the app. Users are responsible for verifying settlement amounts before making payments.

WiseSplitter is not a Payment Aggregator and does not process, hold, or route funds. The UPI Pay Now feature constructs a standard NPCI-compliant UPI URI and launches your installed UPI app (e.g. GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM).

All payment transactions occur exclusively between users within their own UPI apps. WiseSplitter has no visibility into whether a payment was completed, cancelled, or failed. The "Mark Paid" status within the app is a manual record kept by users and does not constitute financial confirmation.

All software, designs, logos, and UI elements within WiseSplitter — including the Parchment and Obsidian Gold design systems — are the intellectual property of WiseSplitter. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the application or its UI without explicit written permission.
• Use WiseSplitter's branding, logos, or design system in any external product or service.

WiseSplitter Pro is an optional paid subscription available via Google Play Billing. By subscribing, you agree to Google Play's billing terms in addition to these Terms of Service.

Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe you are violating these Terms or engaging in misuse of the service.

You may terminate your account at any time by navigating to Settings → Account → Edit Profile and selecting Delete Account, or by contacting us at the email address below to request account deletion.

In no event shall the developer or WiseSplitter be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

• The use or inability to use the application.
• Financial disputes between group members arising from expense records in the app.
• Failed, incorrect, or disputed UPI payment transactions.
• Data loss resulting from account deletion or service interruption.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
